SHOOTING STAR
A shooting star is a meteoroid bursting through our atmosphere. It doesn’t even have to be a big meteoroid. A rock the size of a split pea, is big enough the create trail of light through our sky. When a meteoroid is so big that part of it survives its journey through the atmosphere and reaches the Earth, it’s called a meteorite. Stars aren’t always falling from the sky though. They fall from grace or the spotlight all the time! A-list celebrities only have to stay away from paparazzi for a few months or years to be completely forgotten by the general public.
